As China’s urbanization process is accelerating, left-behind children become a real social problem. A large number of surplus rural labor force transfer to the city, but limited to the city population carrying capacity, still can not make no exception in the household registration, admission etc.. So, many rural children left behind in rural areas and have to, their grandparents or other relatives living together. According to the National Federation of women of the latest report published by the China children, left-behind children accounted for the proportion of the total reached 21.88%, higher proportion of rural area.As a group, Left-behind children have aroused general concern. It is the product of Parent-children separation which contains about 6 dimensions like the timing, length, space, form and the frequency of contact. However, what is the influence of these differences to the left-behind children’s individual development? In 2013,the author set out to collect the literature and information of left-behind children. and the related policies about left-behind children problem in China, to make prepare for the research behind. The author came to Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region H primary School twice for field-work, interviewing teachers and students face-to-face or issuing questionnaires to get more information about the situation of left-behind children’s individual development in all aspects. At last, the author analyzed the information and data by using the method of linear regression.which found that students in this school faced kinds of problems of their individual development. What’s more, with the different dimensions(timing of separation, length of separation, form of separation, space of separation and the frequency of contact), led different influences to the left-behind children’s personality, emotional status, learning interest, collective life, personal habits and morality.Teenagers are the future and hope of the country, the quantity of left-behind children is certainly a urgent society problem. Through the investigation and research, the author analyzed the situation of left-behind children deeply, which could provides the theory basis for migrant workers to make scientific decision that based on the perspective of their children’s individual development. And also put forward some corresponding suggestions according to the research subject and problems.
