Self-learning ability for students’ lifelong education, social plays an important role. As an important course in modern teaching of Chinese, is the foundation of school education curriculum and one of the important lessons. At various stages of the life growing up, along with people’s physical and mental development characteristics and the characteristics of the language, the cultivation of the language ability to study independently needs a comprehensive analysis in combination with various factors. In middle school education, the education main body itself has a high plasticity, age and physical and mental development has transitional characteristics, so the education of junior high school period in a clear advantage position in each period.Accordingly, in the middle school period combined with students’ cognitive development law and language learning ability, clear connotations and characteristics of the language ability to study independently, to students’ language learning plan, regulation language learning behavior, to master the language learning method, to study the Chinese learning habit, to pursue scientific and effective language self-study ability training strategy. The author mainly divided into the following four parts.The first part is the preface, showing that the origin, research significance and methods of the study.The second part of the language ability to study independently research present situation has carried on the literature review, and the Chinese self-learning ability situation of middle school students has carried on the questionnaire survey, are analyzed.The third part clarifies the connotation of the language ability to study independently characteristics and the cultivation of theoretical basis.The fourth part according to language ability to study independently, the composition of the definition, This part mainly from the reading, writing and oral communication for middle school students in the language self-study ability strategy, including the students’ language learning plan, regulation language learning behavior,to master the language learning method, cultivating Chinese learning habit, finally the author will be in the classroom reading teaching of cultivating the ability of self-study of Chinese in specific case design are analyzed.
