Postproduction of the Film and Television course as an important means of personnel training, plays a pillar role in cultivating the students’ ability of occupation and professional quality, and carries the responsibility of providing a large number of outstanding film editing producer for the country and society. But, in recent years, as the film post production step into the digital age, the existing problems of this course are gradually revealed. In order to meet the demand of talents on specialized application of postproduction of the film and television, it is imperative to reform the current traditional teaching mode, optimize teaching by explore the new teaching means, so that to improve the efficiency and the effect of talent training.This paper based on the theory of constructivism, use literature research method, survey, experimental research and action research comprehensively,as well as give full play to the advantages of the project teaching method, to explore the application of project teaching method to postproduction of the Film and Television course.Through the creation of the real situation, use project as supporter, let students learn by practice,thus it may make full use of the students’ creativity, and cultivate students’ ability of practice, thinking and innovation.This paper is divided into six parts. The first part describes the background, significance, ideas and methods of the topic. The second part make a brief introduce to the status of the application of project teaching method in domestic and foreign country, as well as the course of postproduction of film and television. Also the definition of related concepts mentioned in the paper are given in this part. The third part, from the theoretical basis, research elements, principles and implementation process, analysis and design the application of project teaching method in the course of postproduction of film and television.The fourth part take film "edge in special post" as an example, make a detail introduction to the curriculum implementation, environment, content, objectives and steps of this course. The fifth part is the analysis the effectiveness of the application. The sixth part summarize the advantages and disadvantages, and puts forward some reasonable suggestions on the application of the course in the future.Through empirical research, this paper verified the feasibility of application of project teaching method in the course of postproduction of film and television, and reached the following conclusions:1:the project teaching method returns the classroom to students, students deal the various stages of learning goals and schedule. Teachers as the guidance and monitor, offer help to students at the appropriate time, that help the students to self construction of knowledge.2:The project teaching method encourage the students to learn in groups, that fully reflect the students’ subject status of learning. This can practice and cultivate students’ sense of ownership, as well as cultivate students’ communicative and oral expression ability, which help the students to improve the comprehensive quality3:Project teaching method, through the simulation film and television production real work situations, fully mobilize the enthusiasm of students, which let students learn knowledge during completing the work. They may obtain the position of accomplishment after the completion of the project, so as to lay a foundation for students to quickly adapt to the practical work.4:Through practice application, it proves that the project teaching method can effectively improve the course of postproduction of film and television, and helps to train the excellent professional video post production talents.Therefore, in the future, the course of postproduction of film and television, it should be applied as regular teaching method.
