In recent years,China’s society is undergoing dramatic transformation. In line with fast economic growth, social problems of various types emerged greatly. This results in the impact that the current supply of public service cannot fulfill the demand to a significant extent. Under an environment of fast growing market economy and deeply reforming government institutions, Chinese government is gradually defunctioning itself. Under this circumstance, it would be an urgent need to introduce external forces to participate in social management, especially the social works. At present, China’s social work is at its initial stage of development. Professionalization of social woks is still very immature. The Inner Mongolia autonomous region is far from the nation center and gathers minorities, its economic construction and social development are much less developed than China costal areas. Inner Mongolia’s social work development is still in the exploratory stage, which is far behind a "professional" level. It desires a suitable model of development to meet local needs.Community is the most basic unit of social management, it is also the most convenient platform that helps social organizations and social works to chip in and play their roles. Should a tri-party interactive model of "community, social organizations, social worker" established, it could effectively push forward the development of social management and social works in Inner Mongolia. This paper analyzed the current situation and existing problems of social works in Inner Mongolia. The author also studied the reasons behind, and proposed ideas to improve the development of Mongolian social works.
