Exercise system, as an important composing part of a textbook, should be paid at tention by not only writer, but teachers and students also. The writer should be oblige d to make the exercise system typical, target-oriented, well-planned, stage-by-stage. While the teacher, as user of the text book, should utilize it by making the knowledge be realized as student’s capability. However, as investigation and research of the textb ook(Sujiao Version) shows, the realization seems not satisfying due to passive attitud e to the exercise system, although teachers know the necessity.As one of the authorized textbook by NPSSTAC(National Primary and Seconda ry School Textbooks Authorization Committee) in 2004, Chinese Literature of High S chool(Sujiao Version) is specified in its advanced concept of making study methods a nd styles into different topics. Moreover, the exercise style of “one group-one exercise” were upgraded and substituted by “one lesson-one exercise”, which drew extensive attention.In consideration of the importance of the exercise and the incomprehensiveness o f related study and research, author set the target on the exercise system of Chinese Li terature of High School(Sujiao Version, Mandatory) and tried to study systematically. To make the user know the exercise better, I summarized all 5 textbooks, including it s exercise, compared them to other versions, analyzed the development history. There fore, the advantages are clearer: putting high value on improving literal knowledge an d capability; exercising of application; development of listening, speaking, reading an d writing; following logic thinking; exercising stage by stage; understanding how stud ent feel in reading; paying attention to literal capability forming; offering learning mat erial; broadening scope of knowledge; escalating literal accomplishment, putting high premium on composition and so on. Meanwhile, I compared the exercise to College E ntrance Examination of 2014 in many aspects, such as question type, content, capabili ties to improve and so on. Above all, I pointed out the aspects to be improved: incomp lete basic knowledge, missing methodology guidance, routine question type and so for th.Last but not least, based on real situation, characteristics of Chinese literature an d standards of courses, several suggestions were offered. Hope the exercise could play a more important role in improving teaching, capability training and literature accom plishment forming.
