Cooperative learning has been carried out for a long time. Today, it is becoming more and more popular in high schools because of the new curriculum revolution and its own advantages. It can let students improve the enthusiasm of studying. It can let students become the main role in studying. It also can let students build their own knowledge system.However, there are still many problems in practical teaching of high school. Therefore, cooperative learning can’t show its full effects. This paper has three key parts. The first part is about the problems of cooperative learning. The second part is about the analyses of the problems and their reasons. The third part is about the measures that we should take to improve the effects of studying in groups.As Chinese teachers, we should deeply study the reasons of the problems in cooperative learning, including teachers’ aspect and students’ aspect. The reasons of teachers’ aspect are unreasonable grouping, improper tasks, poor teaching guidance, unreasonable time and unscientific teaching evaluations. The reasons of students’ aspect are as follows. The low enthusiasm and bad learning habits have bad effects on cooperative learning. Because of those, I am trying to find measures with the observational method.In my mind, teachers should let students make up their groups freely. Sometimes, teachers just need a few small adjustments. Teachers should give students proper tasks and evaluations. As for students’ problems, teachers should improve students’ enthusiasm of joining in the activities and connect students’ individual work with group work. Meanwhile, teachers should let students understand their own responsibility and help students form some good learning habits.
