| By studying the results of the survey, the paper aims to analyze the differences in the capability of educational technology among primary and secondary school teachers and the factors affecting the development of their ability in educational technology. And it lays great emphasis on analyzing the deep-seated reasons concerning differences in the age of teachers, the length of time for which they use IT and the major they are involved in. On the basis of findings of the survey, interviews with the teachers and document analysis, it establishes the basic framework of the fundamental factors affecting the development of teachers’ability in educational technology. Based on the influencing factor model, suggestions and possible strategies concerning how to improve and develop teachers’abilities in educational technology are proposed. Through the case study of four typical outstanding teachers, the paper analyzes the development of individual teacher’s capability from the aspect of structural relationship on teachers’capability of educational technology. After taking the logical composition of individual teacher’s capability of educational technology into consideration, the author puts forwards an effective way to develop the individual capacities of primary and secondary school teachers from the perspectives of school factors, discipline factors and individual factors. Firstly, as far as school factors are concerned, schools should attach great importance to developing teachers’capability of educational technology and provide effective ways to realize it. Secondly, as for discipline factor, it is necessary to have an in-depth analysis of subject characteristics so as to achieve effective use of information technology. Besides, teachers are supposed to continually develop their capabilities of educational technology by exploring the effective ways to integrate information technology and different disciplines. Thirdly, as for teachers’individual factors, teachers are supposed to build up professional development awareness and form the concept of lifelong learning. What’s more, they are supposed to strengthen the awareness on the connotation of educational technology and lay emphasis on teaching reflection, on the basis of which they are supposed to obtain the long-lasting power to develop their educational technology. |
