It’s no doubt that science and technology will be combined with all social activities. it’s scale, it’s speed,it’s content and influence are unprecedented in history. In the ancient, China’s achievements in science and technology had been flourishing. But for a long time, school pay little attention to teach it,until the curriculum reform, the teaching of science and technology emerged. In the teaching of cultural history, the history of science and technology is one of the more difficult thing to deal with, not only the students learn tasteless, teachers also teach hard. There are many reasons for this, including the lack of students’own life experience, the shortness of teachers’professional quality, the mistakes of curriculum developers in the selection and arrangement of teaching materials. Based on the history textbooks that People’s Education Press published which were widespread use,I try to offer some supplements to teach the history of science and technology, on the one hand, it is the reflection and summary of my own teaching practice; on the other hand,it can do the necessary preparations for my teaching life in the future.My paper is mainly carried out from four aspects. First part is about the content, status and difficulties in the teaching of science and technology. By comparing its different contents, its contemporary roles and its plights, to spur teachers, students,curriculum resource developers and intermediary teaching etc. for their own reflection and improvement. The second part is the investigation and Research in practice. Through the interview with teachers and the questionnaire to the students, knowing some difficult problems that may be met in the teaching. The third part is about the shortage in teaching. Though analysis both teacher and students, content and method, we know it’s shortcoming. The fourth part were some suggestions on teaching of science and technology. I believe that through these ways that establish a correct concept of teaching, use of flexible teaching methods, timely reflection of teaching can both make teachers play a leading role and arouse students’ enthusiasm, teachers and students to promote the common development and realize the ultimate goal of teaching.Anyway, whether it is paid attention in the level of consciousness and practical aspects of teaching guidance, this paper do some useful attempts in teaching the history of science and technology, it also share a route for majority of workers to discuss strategies in teaching the history of science and technology.
