Chinese Hundred Eight Units is the most distinctive junior high school’s teaching material during the period of the republic of China. Since the book is compiled, it have a deep influence in later teaching material compiled, and it have deep enlightenment and reference in many aspects of compiling textbooks.The paper takes four teaching materials in the textbook of Chinese Hundred Eight Units as the object of study, tries to give a comprehensive analysis, combining the information in history, Summarize some enlightenments for current Chinese textbooks.The paper consists of four parts. The introduction part introduces the research object, the reason, current situation, and the methods of the research. The first chapter introduces the background of the Chinese Hundred Eight Units filing. First, from the m social situation, educational policy, textbooks system and other aspect to introduce the background of Chinese education during the period of the republic of China. And then summed up in stages during the Republican period of China. Then summarize the development characteristic of the middle school’s teaching material in Republican period. Finally, introduce the editor of Chinese Hundred Eight Units and the curriculum standard of it. The second chapter analysis the whole Chinese Hundred Eight Units. First, it introduces the Article,Anthology, Grammar and Rhetoric, and Exercises in turn. Analysis and evaluate the structure of Chinese Hundred Eight Units Then from the structure of the teaching material system to analyze Chinese Hundred Eight Units. The third chapter compares the Chinese Hundred Eight Units and PEP junior high school language textbook. To summarize the text-selection system of two teaching material, then compare the combinatory way in two teaching material. The forth chapter is concluded the some enlightenments in the current junior high school’s teaching material selected.
