Ancient Chinese Poems in its refining rich language, catchy rhythm and implication profound connotation occupies an important position in classical literature, poems not only can give people aesthetic pleasure, more can enhance the person’s intrinsic tutelage in the osmosis and spiritual power. For world outlook, the outlook on life and values are forming in high school students, to study ancient Chinese poems becomes even more important, but the author through the form of a questionnaire investigation about the present situation of high school students learning in ancient Chinese poems, found that students’ learning enthusiasm and initiative of the ancient Chinese poems is not high, teacher’s teaching method is single and traditional, lacking of interpretations of the spirit in ancient Chinese poems,lacking of appreciations of the Rhyme beauty and the Language beauty in poems, teachers’ teaching idea and teaching method of the poems is too inflexible.In the study published by ministry of education about developing Chinese excellent traditional culture of relevant documents, to the high school students learning situation, after investigation and analysis for the ancient Chinese poems teaching, the author thinks that we would introduced expand theory into poems teaching, high school teachers would teach poems in both horizontal and vertical development, widen teaching idea, use many kinds of development strategies and methods of teaching, the teaching effect of ancient Chinese poems will be quite obvious. The text is divided into five parts:The first part illustrates the connotation of expanding teaching and related theoretical basis; The second part based on the analysis of the high school characteristics of ancient Chinese poems confirms development theory is suitable for the teaching of ancient Chinese poems; The third part put forward the principle of develop teaching of ancient Chinese poems; The fourth part is the focus of this study, from the macroscopic and microscopic two aspects discusses the develop teaching strategies and methods of ancient Chinese poems; The fifth part is one teaching design of the ancient Chinese poems and author also makes a analysis of it.
