"Stone Story", as a dazzling pearl of China and the world literary history, has always been chosen for language teaching materials. The selections are not only plentiful, but also very artistic and typical. It’s very good for the language abilities and literary accomplishment of high school students, but in actual classes this advantage is not been used well. So this paper, using Document method、statistical method and case method as main research methods, studies how to improve the "Stone Story" selections teaching to inspire the interest of students in reading the original book and how to read the original book efficiently.This paper is divided into three parts. The first part summarizes the historical conditions of the selections and analyzes "Stone Story" selections of current middle school and high school compulsory and elective language textbook.The second part carries on the teaching research in "Stone Story" selections of middle school language textbook. First, this part selects "Lin Daiyu jin Jiafu", the most representative selection of the "Stone story", as the case study object, and then sorts out "Lin Dai yu jin Jiafu" lesson, 12 in recent years and 2 twenty years ago, makes a comprehensive summary of the teaching content of "Lin Daiyu jin Jiafu", discusses summary content on the basis of reasonable teaching content, besides this part compares lessons in recent years with lessons twenty years ago to find out the improvements and shortages of "Lin Daiyu jin Jiafu", Finally, aiming at the shortage of teaching content,this part puts forward my own suggestions and teaching design.The third part researches on the "Stone Story" reading of National College Entrance Examination. First, this part clairfies what is language literacy, then, discusses the relation between the improvement of middle school language literacy and "Stone Story", and then takes Fujian National College Entrance Examination for example to analyze the disadvantage and advantage of "Stone Story" reading, finally, finds out efficient ways how to read the selections of "Stone Story" in National College Entrance Examination for students.Based on the above research, the author thinks: The reasonable teaching content of classical novel should at least meet three criterions:the requirements of teaching target、correct and reasonable interpretation of the text and staying close to the student’s life experience. The classic literary reading test of National College entrance examination can consider adding open question types; According to different grade, teachers can set different degrees of reading requirements; Schools can do many thing to deepen and promoting student’s reading,such as combining filmography appreciating and classic literary reading、holding expert lecture、organizing "Stone Story" reading activities.
