As a lesson of moral education in senior middle school, the ultimate purpose of Ideology and Politics is to promote students’ morality, help them to set up right outlook on world, life and value at the same time. To fulfill this purpose, Ideology and Politics should not be limited by general classroom teaching and instill of knowledge in books, but to make a rational using of participative teaching method. Still the using of participative teaching method would be influence and restricted by various factors in practice, which led to a present situation that the teaching method hadn’t show its function. The thesis is to find out the problems of participative teaching method in senior middle school and analyze their deeper causes, then research strategies to solve.This thesis follows the general rules of education and psychology, combined with practice in courses, explored the problems when using participative teaching method in senior middle school’s Ideology and Politics course, further analyzed their causes in base, and then provided some suggestions to make it be better used.This thesis is composed of four parts. The first part introduced the meaning and characteristics of participative teaching method, expounded the importance of its using in senior middle school’s Ideology and Politics course. The second part listed the most striking problems in its using, which mainly contain the disproportion under different circumstances and the unsatisfactory effect. The third part analyzed the reasons from teachers, students and instructional context that why these problems were produced. The fourth part was starting from concept, circumstance, way to evaluation, gave some suggest to make participative teaching method be effective used in senior middle school’s Ideology and Politics course.
