The development of the Chinese Subject gradually exposes the problems existing in the traditional teaching process. The examination writing which is stereotype can’t waken the students’ interest and fundamentally improve the students’ ability to write. The situation of composition teaching is not optimistic. The new curriculum standard puts forward new requirements to composition teaching, which requests pay more attentions to students’ needs under the idea of taking the students as the main body. High school writing teaching is now looking forward to a new way out. The youth literature, which is very popular within the middle school students, was emerged from the new concept composition contest.In the name of’new thinking, new expression, new experience’, the youth literature is labeled by novel and unique from the start. Its inimitable charm make it possible to apply the youth literature to composition teaching.The present paper can be divided into five parts.The first part defines the meaning of and the characteristics of youth literature is summarized, providing necessary culture background and reference for the following discussions.The second part discusses the necessity of applying youth literature to the composition teaching according to the students, teachers, teaching materials. The present situation of writing is not optimistic. There has always been problems in teachers’ composition teaching. The current teaching material limits the students’ thinking. It will become unavoidable to explore the effective mode of composition teaching.The third part discusses the feasibility of applying youth literature into composition teaching. New curriculum standards put forward new requirements to students’ extracurricular reading. Teachers can reduce or even avoid the negative impacts of the youth literature by using and guiding correctly during the application of the youth literature into composition teaching. Returning to the youth literature itself, it shows its own unique charm and plays an important role in promoting the students’ ability to write.In the fourth part, it focuses on the strategy to apply the youth literature to composition teaching, which includes conception, structure, and language use. Most of youth literature is uniquely wonderful in conception. The middle school students should pay attention to the conception of youth literature. When discusses the structure of youth literature, students will benefits a lot. The writer of youth literature has rich material and process them in his own way. Because of rich vocabulary, humorous language, wide variety of rhetoric, the youth literature has unique language style.In the fifth part, it provides detached analysis on the problem during the period of applying youth literature to writing teaching. Youth literature, whose commercial property maybe misleads students, develops in the specific cultural background and has different characteristic from the traditional literature. Teachers should know these problems in advance and pay attention to drawing on the advantages and avoiding disadvantages.Youth literature is a new kind of literary form. Based on the idea of ’Literature is human science’, we should evaluate them objectively and accept it with an open attitude. It will provide new instructional mode for the writing teaching.
