The Writing Characteristics Of Critical Composition

Commentary is used to express one's opinion about news and social phenomenon.Commentary also guides the public with correct opinions and act as supervision.In the teaching practice of middle school,the writing topic also focus on news and social phenomenon,more and more students start to write critical composition.Their writing need example and guidance,this paper set out from the actual demand of student to find writing strategies on the basis of the analysis of the writing characteristics of the commentaries in People's Daily Online.This paper tries to make research on the basis of analyzing relevant theories and commentaries.I generalize the characteristics of the content,purpose,value of the commentaries and carry out a detailed analysis of the thought,structure and style of the commentaries.This paper mainly includes four parts.The first part is about the connotation and content of critical composition.Commentary is based on social phenomenon and comment on the recently valuable news and issues.Most of the commentaries are exact,thoughtful and influential.The second part is about the structure of critical composition.Generally,commentary has almost one thousand words and clear structure.Its start is an order of the composition and its end is various in forms.The third part is about the thought of critical composition.In the writing of a commentary,we need to observe the law of identity,the law of non-contradiction,the law of excluded middle and the law of sufficient reason and focus on the integration of different thoughts to make the composition vivid and persuasive by using as more reasoning ways as possible.The relationships of paragraphs and sentences have to be clear and logical.The forth part is about the style of language in the writing of critical composition.The title reflects the style of composition.The language could have a sense of the times and classic and be creative and succinct.Long sentence,short sentence,full sentence,minor sentence and sentence of different tone could be used integratedly in the writing to make the commentary full of ups and downs.
