Study On The Construction And Development Of Higher Education Area

After thirty years of reform and opening up, China’s economic and social development in various fields have achieved remarkable results, which is inseparable with the development of higher education, scientific and technological innovation. Innovation is an important force pushing forward the development of the country and the nation, as well as the whole human society. The construction and development of Higher Education Area greatly promote the development of higher education and technological innovation.This paper, taking Dushu Lake Higher educational area as an example, with the topic of construction and development strategy of Higher Education Area,in face of the major opportunities and challenges brought by the new round of global technological revolution and the industrial revolution as well as new and normal economic development situation, offers referential policy recommendations to smoother and more healthy development of Higher Education Areas.The author works by collecting and reading a lot of related literature papers and Internet reports, analyzes the construction and development experience of three internationally Higher Education Area of Silicon Valley,America, Tsukuba Science City, Japan, and Bangalore, India. Discover their features and enlightenment to us: develop a strong legal and policy support to provide a good policy environment; heavily invest large government and corporate efforts to provide a good hardware environment; positively changethoughts on school building and pay attention to educate high-tech personnel;focus on local social and economic development to tackle the shortage of technological innovation talents. On this basis, the author sum up the great positive role played by Higher Education Area: an important force driving economic and social development; optimize the effective allocation of resources in the form of higher education; promote collaboration between higher education and socio-economic development; explore useful innovation of higher education schooling systems; promote the urbanization process.In this paper, by selecting Dushu Lake Higher Education Town located in the ancient town of Suzhou, the author make research on specific cases using the method of case analysis. The rich material for the study of this paper makes research more persuasive and credible. The author conducts a lengthy fieldwork, participant observation and interview with various types of practitioners of higher education in the region.
