In the 1970 s, China formally put forward the “family planning” policy. After the complete implementation of the family planning policy, the only child and only-child family have begun to emerge. China’s population has been effectively controlled, so the economic and social problems brought about by population have also been relieved correspondingly. However, while brings huge energy efficiency to our society, this policy has also brought increasingly prominent impact. These families out of the family planning policy have an extremely fragile family structure due to their uniqueness and irreplaceability with huge risks hidden. With the widespread existence and increasing number of Shidu families(only-child families which have lost their only child), elderly care problems of Shidu families, their life care problems and psychological health problems have become social problems. Therefore, how to ease various difficulties facing the only-child families has become a critical issue to be solved by the society. In face of the sacrifice by the only-child families, many experts believe that a subsidy should be given to them in terms of policy, but the improvement of policies cannot be accomplished overnight. In recent years, there have been some researches on the problems of Shidu families, but few studies focus on the problem from the perspective of the integrated model. This paper tries to combine the exploratory research with descriptive research, studies the social support system for Shidu families from the perspective of integrated model to help those families, adopts multiple methods to carry out an in-depth understanding of members of Shidu families, carefully analyzes their current life status and various demands, eases their various problems and meets their various appeals with the implementation of the projects and explores in the process of carrying out community social work. This has blazed a new trail in the research field of only-child families and Shidu families and provided a new perspective to contribute to the progress of the research of Shidu families.
