Recently, Chinese economy has enjoyed rapid development, in which the personnel majoring in Environmental Art &Design have made certain contribution. The development of the discipline, Environmental Art &Designdepends on higher education. Since the 1990s, the higher education that originally belongs to the minority has been rapidly popularized among the masses, which to some extent caters for the social need of the related personnel because of the rapid development of economy. However, people have more and more need about the living standardthan before with the changing ways of the economic growth. The market is expects the integrated talents with practical skills, team spirit and innovation ability. It is obviously that the traditional higher education becomes inconsistent with the social needs. As for the studio teaching mode, the course is developed by practical projects, in which students quickly master the practical skills, cultivate the team spirit, develop the innovative awareness and enhance the professional knowledge. The thesis is a tentative study on the studio teaching mode for Environmental Art &Design in Ningxia on the basis of the origin, the development and the present situation of the studio teaching mode for Environmental Art &Design at abroad and home. With the practical situation of the Environmental Art &Design in Ningxia, the thesis will be carried out with the following methods:mathematical statistics; questionnaire survey; logical inference; literature search and comparative study.
