In recent years, due to the influence of various music thoughts such as multicultural music and post-modern music perspective, local music culture has been impacted, and folk music is about to vanish. Qingyang area, Gansu is a typical place where there are rare inheritors for local music culture.Furthermore, local music has been ignored in music classes, which leads the unfamiliarity of students towards local music culture.Based on preceding facts, the author, taking the 1st Middle School of Qingyang as object, conducted a survey over one year, aiming to introduce local music into teaching practice and study the combination between teaching theory and practice, from the perspective of music appreciation teaching. Firstly, the art and music resources of Qingyang area have been sorted and summarized. Then, questionnaire survey and investigation have been conducted regarding to current situation of the music teaching in 1st Middle School of Qingyang, and introduce local music into music teaching.Based relatively actual information,This paper conducted theoretical analysis and presented the opinions and assumptions of the author, aiming to achieve following common sense and purpose: introducing local music into teaching practice will not only have the students be familiar with local folk arts, but moreover inherit them. It can improve not only the teaching quality and richness of music teaching in Qingyang, but also the music accomplishment of students and their enthusiasm to learn folk music.This paper is composed by five chapters: Introduction, Overview ofCulture and Art in Qingyang, Overview of the 1st Middle School of Qingyang and its Music Teaching Practice, Theoretical Basis and Assumption for Introducing Local Music into Music Teaching, and Conclusion.
