Comparing the past, the work pressure on high school teachers increases a lot but the salary becomes less competitive. The payment is not suitable for the hard work. And there is little choice for future development of this profession. The issue about the profession development of high school teacher becomes a social focus. The public hope that more and more talent young people who have high duty on teacher profession engage into the great education career. Then how the high school teachers think about their life satisfaction and happiness?Along with the development of economics and social pluralism, has the profession development of high school teacher been impacted because of their profession’s nature and relative low salary? How the holy duty affects their profession development and personal happiness? We process this research in order to address above issues. Nowadays studies on duty have demonstrated that the duty has positive effect on person’s performance at work, career development and happiness. The study on profession duty of high school teacher would provide good reference to profession development of high school teacher and the high school education.This paper focuses on the adjustment function of duty to work-life conflict and general satisfaction, and the intermediary role of general satisfaction to work-life conflict and resign thought. The novelty of this paper is:(1) this paper focuses on the conflict between work and personal life of high school teacher, not just limited in the region of work and family because that the life includes health, friendship, interest and leisure besides work and family; (2)this paper investigates the adjustment effect of duty to the work-life conflict and general satisfaction in order to improve past research which ignores the individual characteristic.The first research adopts questionnaire method. The object is the high school teachers. We gained 275 effective samples by giving surveys in different provinces. The analysis results of hierarchical regression demonstrated that the individual salary satisfaction and work satisfaction have intermediary effect on work-life conflict and resign rate with controlling irrelevant variables.The second research introduces a variable, teacher duty, to investigate the adjustment effect on work-life conflict and salary satisfaction. With controlling irrelevant variables, the results present that teacher duty indeed has adjustment effect on work-life conflict and salary satisfaction and no such effect on work satisfaction. The conclusion is a good explore to the profession development of high school teacher. And it provides a reference to education management.
