Hierarchy of needs theory showed that everyone needs respect. People need basic courtesy and mutual respect whether in workplace or in daily life. With the increasing of work pressure, employees experience more and more impolite behavior in the workplace, which is called workplace incivility by western researchers.Workplace incivility is defined as a low intensity behavior with ambiguous intent and lack of respect to others. Related studies have confirmed that workplace incivility have exerted negative effects on employees and organizations. Therefore, the research of workplace incivility can be used to guide the practical work and provide theory basis to deal with related problems better.This research explored the effect of workplace incivility on employees' work-family conflict and life satisfaction, and investigates the moderating effect of core self evaluation. There are 257 employees in the questionnaire survey. The statistic analysis showed that:Firstly, workplace incivility has a significant negative impact on life satisfaction;Secondly, workplace incivility is positively correlated with employees' work family conflict;Thirdly, the relationship between workplace incivility and life satisfaction is completely mediated by work family conflict after controlling for demographic variables.Fourthly, core self evaluation has significantly moderated the relationship between workplace incivility and work family conflict. |
