Since1990s,China has been enlarged the proportion of students recruitment for six years, due to the considerable extension, advanced education institution tend to take more serious on scientific research than its teaching function, and pay much more attention on the elevation of subject study and academic degree than basic construction, emphasize on exterior development rather than interior cultivation which result in many negative issues in the performance of undergraduate teaching. Confront to the situation, the education department implement a full-scale teaching assessment upon the general advanced education institutions.This article is aimed at drawing out analysis on the efficiency of self-evaluation mechanism by constructing the assessment system on reference of AHP hierarchic analysis method and DM expert’s opinions and practical research with China Jiliang University as an example, thus the improvement measures shall be proposed.(1) Apply AHP hierarchic mechanism and DM experts’ opinion methods to construct the teaching performance self-evaluation system in order to help teaching level to reach the anticipated goal. Moreover, the critical significance of setting up this index is not only its action in controlling the teaching performance level but stressing on the improvement and promotion.(2)The application of estimation index weight possesses scientificity. The weight of index shall be decided through the method of hierarchic analysis first, then in order to make it closer to the specific reality, thus elevate the reliability, accuracy and objective impartiality of general comprehensive estimation it should be tested on the basis of the experts’ experience and knowledge on education and whether the estimation matrix bears the coherence of satisfaction.(3)The estimation model is fairly accessible in practice. The whole process of the estimation is clear, in addition to which the formulas are quite simple. Besides, the partition of scalarization and data processing is available by computer software.(4)The AHP model of regional teaching performance level is constructed in this article, which raises the hierarchic analysis structure. By using of the calculative results derived from China Jiliang University as an example, some relevant countermeasure or suggestions have been put forward.The characteristics of this article include the construction of AHP model for teaching performance level self-evaluation in advanced educational institution, and the creative proposal of hierarchic analysis structure on the estimation of teaching quality. Therefore the article has rather certain realistic significance, which provide some thought and methods for teaching performance self-evaluation, meanwhile submit decision-making departments authentic first-hand information.
