Higher special education in China has been developed for more than twenty years. Withthe expansion of the scale of the deaf higher special education, an increase in the number ofdeaf students for higher education,The research of deaf college students employment problemgradually become a hot spot in the higher education in our country. From a macro point ofview of employment policy and the employment security to the employability are benefit toour higher education in the special employment policy formulation and improvement of deafcollege students employment status. The research of macro employment policy can providethe necessary force to help the deaf college students employment, but the deaf collegestudents’ own internal cognitive factors play an important role in the quality of employment.On this background, this paper starts at the sight of congnition, focuses on analyzing deafcollege students’ cognitive status and career decision-making, in order to providerecommendations for improving cognition and deaf students career employment decisions.In this paper, the Cognitive Information Processing theory as a starting point, andanalysis the cognitive particularity of deaf students in CASVE cycle, combined researchresults domestic and international, formulating a preparation of initial questionnaire surveyand carry on the initial questionnaire to the preliminary survey. Combined with expert opinionto modify the questionnaire, to guarantee the scientific effectiveness of the questionnaire. Thissurvey takes four hundred deaf students and one hundred and twenty hearing students as theobject of study. This paper use spss17.0statistics and analysis the data, with the method ofindependent samples T test, single factor variance analysis and other methods analysis theemployment cognitive and career decision of Deaf college students.The study draw thefollowing conclusions:(1)Deaf college students employment of cognitive status score fromhigh to low respectively self-cognitive, career cognitive and social cognitive,the point isbetween two point eight nine nine to three point five eight five;(2)Different professional,family income, whether one-child deaf college students are significant differences on socialcognitive dimensions, different family income deaf students’ employment exist significantdifferences in self-cognition;(3)There is no significant difference of cognitive status withdifferent grade, gender, students ground and the hearing loss degree;(4)The career decision ofthe Deaf is in good condition, the degree of certainty with the same as hearing students,employment confidence was significantly lower than hearing students.According to the above research conclusions, the writer trying to put forward followingcountermeasures and suggestions:(1)Universities and colleges should take differentiatedinstructional strategies of employment services for different students, Support and guide thestudents participate in social practice during the school time to increase employmentconfidence;(2)Deaf students should increase the employment confidence and communication consciousness from inner,from the aspects of self-discovery improve the cognitive abilitiesand career decision-making ability;(3)Improve the social status of the environment, improvethe social inclusion.
