During Chinese teaching, Chinese textbook acts as the basis and the resourcesfor teaching contents, and also acts as the most effective carrier to accomplishteaching goals. Moral education plays an important role in Chinese teaching, due tothe humanity character of Chinese course, thus, the accomplishment of moral teachingin Chinese teaching should also rely on Chinese textbook, which comes to theconclusion that it is necessary to develop and utilize the resources in Chinesetextbook.Aiming at the development and utilization of moral education resources inChinese textbook of senior high school, this paper is mainly to improve theeffectiveness of moral education in Chinese classes, to make good use of the materialof moral education in Chinese textbook and, hence, to make contributions to theall-round development of high school students. Taking Chinese textbook(PEP edition)as an example, the writer tries to illustrates the features of Chinese textbook in seniorhigh school, i.e., its richness, its wide-distribution and its high-value. Further more, onthe basis of investigation on teachers; the writer summarizes the problems existingduring the process of the development and utilization of moral education resources ofChinese textbook for senior middle school, including weak awareness, low-efficiency,shallow-employment, and the mere formality of its development and utilization. Inview of the existing characteristics of moral education resources of Chinese textbookfor senior high school and the problems existing in the development and utilization ofthe resources, the writer puts forward four strategies, firstly, to change ideas and setup scientific consciousness for moral education resources, secondly, to study into theteaching materials and involve actively in the development of moral educationresources, thirdly, to broaden the horizons and integrate appropriately the resources ofmoral education, fourthly, to adopt various approaches and employ effectively themoral education resources. Finally, the writer’s reminder to teachers is that thedevelopment and utilization of moral education resources must abide by thecharacteristics of Chinese subject.
