Under the influence of the curriculum reform all over the world,Taiwan and the mainland has started a new round of curriculum reformat the end of the20th century. After years of exploration anddevelopment, both sides have entered a crucial stage. We have the samelanguage and culture; there are many things we can learn from eachother. As one of the most important teaching materials, textbook play akey role in teaching and learning. So it receives a lot of attention.Based on the curriculum standards, taking Hamlin version and Sueversion as examples, through the analysis and comparison of thearticles in textbooks from four aspects: scope and orientation, literaryform and type, theme and content, layout and architecture, it can beseen that the selection system of high school Chinese textbooks inTaiwan has a high proportion of classical Chinese articles; It’sgeographical boundaries and cultural domain boundary is stronger; Itattaches great importance to the aesthetic value and thought value, Ithighlights the humanity of high school Chinese curriculum; It’s layoutand architecture is relatively rigid. On the other hand, the selectionsystem of high school Chinese textbooks in Mainland has less classicalChinese articles; It breaks the geographical and cultural domainboundaries, and contains more new literature form; It’s cultural horizonis more open; It also attaches great importance to the aesthetic valueand thought value, highlights the humanity of high school Chinesecurriculum; According to the theme, the articles organized into differentunits, which is more close to the students. Based on thesecharacteristics and similarities and differences, from the perspective of curriculum, the mainland should improve attention to the classicalarticle more systemically, and Taiwan should expand the course view, moreover both sides should pay attention to the language knowledge; From the perspective of The Times, the selection system should reflectcertain characteristics of the time, and pay more attention to thesystematicness and directivity, because information communicationbecomes widely and quickly today, students can obtain knowledge frommany channels; Considerations from the perspective of students, selection system should focus on "the zone of proximal development",and considering the high school students’ cognitive needs andemotional needs.
