At present, the teaching of composition affects a lot of Chinese teachers in middle school.Based on the present situation of composition teaching, many teachers are devoted toimproving students’ writing ability. However, the ideas of many teachers on the teaching ofwriting are not science. Most of the middle school Chinese teachers pay attention to developthe ability of conception, organization and creation. But they ignore the essential features,such as the observation ability. It is impossible for students to create the excellent compositionwithout enough materials. Therefore the main way to improve students’ writing is to developthe observation ability.This paper investigates four middle school students in different grades of Ningjin Countyto understand the current situation of writing ability of observation and teaching ofcomposition observation, analyzes the causes, and puts forward the strategy of developing theobservation ability of7-9grade students.The first chapter introduces the culture of students writing ability of observation anddefining the relevant concepts of this thesis.The second chapter shows the current composition of the7-9grade students’ throughthe questionnaire, analyzes the problems of the composition observation, and points out thefactors to develop the students’ ability of observation.The third chapter is about the strategy of developing the7-9grade students’observationability. It is includes four aspects. It is important for the7-9grade students to have trainingplans of developing the ability of composition observation, focus on the instruction of trainingmethods, develop the good observation habits and improve the teaching compositionobservation quality.I hope this research can provide help for the teaching of composition observation, andcan improve the7-9grade students’ writing ability.
