The Chinese nation has created long-standing Chinese culture, which has accumulated valuable spiritual character of Chinese nation. The Confucian culture has the most prominent place in it. Its moral education content is extremely plentiful, which can be attributed to two aspects of moral education and self-cultivation. The Confucian culture has a lot of defects, historical limitations, feudal dross and obsolete notions. But there are various methods of self-cultivation, social norms and standards of behavior. These standards and demands guide people to deal with different kinds of social relationships, in order to help them adapt to the society better learn to behave independently. There are lots of combinations between these standards, norms and the targets and contents of University’s ideological and political education in China. The moral education theory of the Confucianist can give us some inspiration and reference for ideological and political education. It is conducive to making up some of the defects of traditional ideological and political education, it can bring some illumination to University’s ideological and political education. So during today’s University’s ideological and political education, we can make good use of the moral education theory of the Confucianist. Since the18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasized the importance of rising excellent China traditional culture in a series of important speech. He requires that University’s ideological and political education should regard rising excellent China traditional culture as an important grasp. As an important part of Chinese traditional culture, the moral education theory of the Confucianist should be highly valued.In such a situation,this paper fully explores the confucianist moral education resources and probes the new ideological and political education methods, combining the current situation of university’s ideological and political education and some problems it faces. This paper takes Marxism dialectics,mainly through analysis, synthesis and induetive researeh methods,to give a comprehensive overview about the system of the confucianist moral education.The paper also analysises the possible to use the the moral education theory of the Confucianis in university’s ideological and political education. By analyzing severalfactors which has restricted traditional university students’ideological and political education effectiveness, the paper discusses the ways of applying the moral education theory of the Confucianis to enhance university’s ideological and political education, focuses on contents, methods,and teaching environment respectively.In order to deal with the relation of the Confucian culture and the socialist core value system, and to make Confucian culture serve the socialist ideology sbetter,the last part of the paper proposes the several questions, which should be paid attention to during the process of useing the moral education theory of the Confucianis for reference.The paper proposes the correct attitudes toward the moral education theory of the Confucianis. It suggests that the Confucian culture should be inherited in a critical way,by discarding the dross and absorbing the essence,combining reference with innovation.
