As China’s economy reforming from the traditional planned economy deeply into market economy, as well as the ways changing from assigning by the nation to the two-way selection after graduation, employment problems began to appear. As the number of graduates increasing every year, the employment situation has become even more severe; the employment of highly educated graduates began to draw attention of experts and scholars, especially for the problems from the female graduates. The scholars and experts have done lots of research and discussion, from the angel of macro factors and also micro perspective such as labor capital and social capital. They came to a common conclusion that female graduates are affected by some factors, though in different way. Most of the opinions from a qualitative description and personal judgment, few of them came from an in-depth and systematic research. However, this thesis is based on quantitative analysis and on-the-spot investigation to conduct systematic research about the factors that affect the problems of female employment. In this research, based on the relevant domestic and also foreign theories and research methods, I selected Dalian university2014graduates from master degree as the representative. Through studying of theses, The author found that the gender difference, the difference of human capital of master graduate student, the job search process and social capital differences are the reasons which affect the result of the job. Through questionnaires, and based on the data from questionnaire survey, I conduct descriptive analysis and comparisons for personal characteristics difference of male and female graduates, human capital and job search process in descriptive statistics, then find out from these differences existing in the process of female graduate employment problem. After that, this thesis selects the key indicators of female graduate student employment, and conducts regression analysis by using the Logit model, to test the important factors that affect female graduate student, and then we obtain the significance of each influence factor. From the statistical results of investigation and Logit model regression results, we can come to the following conclusions:the main factors which have significant effects on employment, are from college type, professional type, such as human capital in the work experience, scholarship and professional qualification certificate, whether he/she has worked on campus before and whether his/her papers has ever been published. Social capital factors such as parental social status, family and employment information and opportunities, to a certain level, affect the job as a result. The differences in college and department also affect where they want to work. Most of Female graduates are not too optimistic about the prospect of employment, they are more emotional about choosing the regions to work and factors affecting employment thus they are more willing to choose the government departments, institutions of higher learning, scientific research institutions, institutions and other relative enterprises where they can have more stable income. This thesis is divided into five parts. The first part, I introduced the theoretical meaning, and then summarized the domestic and foreign related research present situation, summarizes the research methods and research idea of this thesis, and then finally come up the innovations and shortcomings. The second part, I defined the relevant concepts, the employment discrimination, human capital and social capital theory. The third part, firstly, I conduct reliability and validity analysis, based on the actual situation of Chinese graduate employment from the questionnaire. Then from the human capital, social capital, family background and job search process perspective, I describe the gender factors that influence working differences. Fourth part, I started from the female graduate student itself, analyzed the influential factors of female graduate employment, and from choosing willingness and unfair treatment, statistical analysis was carried out to analyze their advantages and disadvantages. And finally, the author gave a summarization in the conclusions of this thesis, and from standpoint of the government, colleges and universities, and female graduate student, put forward detailed solving methods and Suggestions. This thesis is from a new Angle and comprehensive research method to study the issue of female graduate student employment, but considering the author’s academic level and research ability is limited, there are still many deficiencies.
