Advocating democratic management in colleges and universities is the system requirement of today’s China gradually to realize the modernization, is founded with the trend of the development of high-level university international presence, and it is also the requirement of every high-level university to carry out the National education reform and development of long-term planning programs (2010-2020)Therefore, colleges and universities should attach importance to college students to participate in the construction of democratic management, to build a good democratic atmosphere, a good democratic management mechanism, and system. At present, many domestic colleges and universities have carried out some beneficial attempt in promoting college students to participate in democratic management and research, in result, made some stages of progress. As a university devoting herself to become an international well-known high-level research university aiming to the goal of the construction of "985" and "211" engineering university, Dalian university of technology needs to play a leading and demonstrated role in the process of college students to participate in democratic management.This requests us to have a systematic summary of the past work,have an accurate cognition to the current situation, sum up experience, and find problems.In the end, create the periodical achievements and experience, and put forward constructive Suggestions for future development.This study focuses on Dalian university of technology, summarizes the experience in the process of her students to participate in the democratic management in colleges and universities, at the same time through the way of questionnaire and interview, based on students, making teachers and university to fully understand the students practice experience, to participate in weekly summary of the status quo, and find the problem. Survey contains four sections:The first part is reviewing the related literature, the research. By consulting the domestic and foreign advanced experience in the process of promoting the democratic management in colleges and universities, combined with the actual situation in our country, carry on the analysis. Summarize the existing practices and solutions of Dalian university of technology in the process of implementing, in order to provide fundamental basis for the next research.The second part is the study of understanding the basic concept and expounding the theory basis. At the same time, the study of questionnaire investigation and the process of study plan are introduced.The third part is the Situation of College Students’participation in the democratic management of statistics and analysis. Research mainly made an investigation of the participation of attitude, participation, participation levels, participation effects and subjective recommend five angles. The study found major problems of imperfect legal norms, lack of participation in the environment;the unsound run mechanism, imbalances of management links; limited participation content, the low level; the poor effect in participation, a mere formality.The fourth part gave advice on College Democratic Students’participation in management. From the system construction, operation mechanism and the angle of the quality of students’ability, the study put forward views on the future development.
