Study On Operating Mechanism Of Problem-oriented Interdisciplinary Research Organization

Since the21st century, Interdisciplinary research has become a key part of the development of science. Interdisciplinary research makes the shift of the research paradigm, the people who masters knowledge of single subject gradually cannot meet the needs of scientific research work. Different areas launch cross-border scientists. They devote to the breakthrough of science and technology and have become the trend of the time. Problem-oriented inter-disciplinary research organization is a new kind of knowledge organization, which is set up for solving the problems of social development. It is an effective way to implement scientific research.The time for problem-oriented interdisciplinary research organization existing in China is very short, and the organization is faced with many factors during operation process. This paper has analyzed the connotation and characteristics of problem-oriented interdisciplinary research organization, and puts forward the analysis framework of the operation mechanism. Through combing the development course domestic and oversea, finding out what barriers are limited the process of running by the management system, and faced with the problem of insufficient fund investment and construction of organization system.According to the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, California University Cross-Discipline Organized Research Unit in the United States and Stanford University Bio-X Research Center as the case and describe the foreign policy support and system construction. In this paper, the integrated use of literature research, case study and comparative study method, from the government’s guide policies, organizational support in universities and self-improvement three aspects, puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of problem-oriented interdisciplinary research organization in our country.
