IN the book "Risk Society", Ulrich Beck advocate that "Risk-Society" must be deemed as a body of unity, risk could only be defined through society and the motivation of changes in the modern society must be explained by risk. More importantly, risk expose and promote the characteristic of Post-modernity of society.This paper discussed the destructive power of modern risk and it’s growth mechanism, and the relationship between risk and post-modern society via a Chinese medicine case " LongDan XieGan Wan Event" as an example.The whole paper is composed of four chapters. The first chapter, overview the theory of Beck’s "Risk Society", clarify the questions, research Method and significance. The second chapter, clarify the nature and contemporary features of risk, and then analyzes the social dynamic mechanisms of contemporary risk. The third chapter, Describes the growth mechanism and outbreaks of risk, revealing the lag system and rigid ideas witch encourage the growth of risk. The Fourth chapter, Foreshadowed the trend of social change; discussed the changes in ration, politics and knowledge. Appendix lists the points of LongDan XieGan Wan Event.
