In the context of the implementation of the new curriculum, the local curriculum textbook, as animportant part of the national textbook, has been paid wide attention. The "local curriculum textbook"whose content is local art materials of Huizhou is added to junior art materials in Anhui Province.However, there are problems of local materials occurring in the teaching process. Junior art curriculumrequires teachers to innovate and improve, thereby creating an art classroom with vitality andinnovation. It is necessary for teachers to combine theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge, andthus enhance the students’ interest in learning art. But in junior high school art classes, the "Huizhoulocal curriculum" does not reflect the humanities, without real connection with Huizhou culture. Theclass is boring and lack of local nature. This paper runs studies on problems of "Huizhou localcurriculum" in junior high school art class.This paper conducts research of part of teachers and students from the local junior high school byquestionnaires and cases, analysis the effects that "Huizhou local curriculum" has in teaching practiceand determine whether students study effectively the knowledge of Huizhou culture and if there aredifficulties for teachers in teaching process. These are the keys that influence the outcome of theteaching. Whether a teacher can grasp teaching of Huizhou local curriculum" depends on not justrelevant courses in textbooks, the most important thing is the flexible use of teaching materials in theclasses and the ability to inspire students’ perception. So the paper takes how to guide students to learn"Huizhou local curriculum" as the goal, runs analysis on problems of "Huizhou local curriculum" inteaching implementation and with the integration of features and cases of various fields and takes theimprovement of the teaching effects of "Huizhou local curriculum" as the research field.This paper puts forward three teaching methods based on the junior high school art teaching whichare "introduction""integration" and "innovation", implements with integration of instructional designand four areas of junior high school art teaching to address the problems that "Huizhou local curriculum" has in junior high school art teaching process. These three methods are applied to teaching process,with Huizhou culture as teaching background, to deepen the understanding of Huizhou culture system,improve the lack of local issues in classroom teaching. This paper lays more emphasis on students’cultural literacy education and pays more attention to the implementation and avoids that "Huizhoulocal curriculum" becomes the students’ superfluous courses. The theoretical significance of theresearch of this paper is to clearly enhance "local materials” full of humanities through the study how tostrengthen the local curriculum through teaching; the practical significance lies in proposing a newmethod of teaching practice through the study on "Huizhou local curriculum" in junior high school artclasses.
