Research On Nursing Students’ Knowledge Of Health Laws And Regulations And Requirements In Leshan And Meishan City

Abstract:objective:To understand the needs and cognitive of knowledge about the health laws and regulations for nursing students, to explore factors correlated with knowledge of health laws and regulations for nursing students, and to analyze the factors, so as to provide evidences for education and clinical teaching, protection of occupational safety. Methods:Selecting336nursing students in Leshan and Meishan teaching hospitals,according to convenience sampling method, using self-designed "nursing students’knowledge of health laws and regulations and demand survey" conducted a survey, and the data were analyzed using SPSS statistical software; through unstructured interviews conducted interviews for nursing students, using colaizzi content to analysis the interview data. Results:(1)88.3%of nursing students believed that it was necessary and important to study the health laws and regulations. The main purpose was to better protect themselves, followed by expanding their knowledge, to better adapt to the clinical and better safeguard the interests of patients, a small part of the nursing students expressed interest in relevant content; the way to acquire health knowledge of laws and regulations including hold seminars, school education, the media, issuing manuals and self-taught; the health laws and regulations closely related to nursing students are "nurse Ordinance","Medical Malpractice","Hospital Infection Control Measures ","Infectious Diseases Prevention law","Tort Liability Act","Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic substances regulations".(2) The knowledge level of health laws and regulations of nurse students is lower in general.The average score is57.23±8.54.Scores from high to low are:" Nurses Regulations ","Medical Malpractice","Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Drugs regulations","People’s Republic of China Disease Prevention Law"," Hospital Infection Control Measures","Tort Liability Act"; Different academic, the duration of the training hospital are highly related to the total scores of the questionnaire.Through the analysis of interview data obtained the reasons for lower cognitive health reasons are schooling Clinical teaching and training imperfect. Conclusion:(1) The nursing students are short of the knowledge of health laws and regulations;(2) The legal awareness of nursing students is weak, education and training time in hospital are the main factors. We should strengthened beliefs and risk awareness, strengthen legal education qualification period, improve clinical teaching system and the legal awareness of nursing students, so as to protect the occupational safety and prevent accidents nursing errors.
