Up to today, the reform of the new curriculum has carried out, the design of Chinese homework cannot match the teaching. What Chinese homework we design can not only stimulate students’ interest, but also realize three dimensions including the knowledge and ability, process method, emotional attitudes and values.The first chapter introduces the origin and the significance of the research of Chinese homework design. The Chinese homework design is described as a concept.The second chapter introduces the present situation of senior Chinese homework and the reasons for the situation, which contains the survey report on three high school students in Liuhe district.The third chapter is the theoretical basis of Chinese homework study, including: constructivist theory; multiple intelligences theory, zone of proximal development,; learning bydoing theory; the theory of new curriculum.The fourth chapter is the second focus of this thesis, and elaborate the Chinese homework design principles. It is divided into two parts to discuss the form of homework design and content aspects all following the principles. In the form of homework design, it mainly should follow several principles:the practical burden, so fewer but better principle; students with cognitive, gradual principle; the principle of diversification of stimulating students’ interest. In the design of homework, it should follow such two principles:the living principle and the principle of expansion.The fifth chapter is the focus of this thesis, elaborating optimization strategies for senior high school Chinese homework design in Jiangsu Version, which is divided into three parts:the optimization strategy of preview work; new teaching content optimization strategy; review homework optimization strategy. Optimization strategies of preview work include:basic knowledge accumulation; the learning plan preview; style preview.The new teaching content optimization strategies are:expanding type; practice.Review homework optimization strategy are:thematic review homework; layer upon layer review homework. Based on the Senior school Chinese textbooks in Jiangsu Version, the thesis is concerning different homework designs on three different learning stages, in order to give different stages of language learning and provide more suitable homework styles.
