In a Civilian-run College,the teachers’ quality decides the level of the cultivationof the students, and the construction of the teaching staff is the fundamental guaranteeto cultivating applied talents of high quality, which also affects the sustainable andhealthy development of the college. Comparing with the rapid-rate development ofthe civilian-run colleges in China, the construction of the teachers’ quality is laggedbehind, this pattern of development is clearly unhealthy. In order to realize thesustainable development of the civilian-run college, it is necessary to enhance theconstruction of the teacher’s staff. In view of the uniqueness of the educationalsystem and the school running mode, teachers construction in civilian-run collegeshas great differences in contrast to regular institutions of higher education. Thisrequires the construction of private colleges teaching staff cannot simply copy theway that in public colleges and universities, it must explore the new constructionmode which is suitable for its own development. In view of the fact that privatecolleges starts late in our country, as a new force of education, the problems in privatecolleges teachers are prominent, and it needs a long time to completely solve them. Inaddition, the new ways of the teaching staff construction are still at the groping stage,the methods and measures remain to be examined.In references to some relevant studies on the construction of teaching staff inprivate colleges, and by using the literature method and survey method, this paperexplores the effective ways to improve and promote the construction of privatecolleges,First, the current situations and problems in private colleges teaching staff will be indicated in this thesis, to solve these problems, the author analyzes the factorsbehind the aspects of social environment, private colleges themselves and teachingstaff,, and lays the foundation for the follow-up thoughts of the construction ofteaching staff in private colleges. Second, this paper analyzes the constructional andmanagerial traits of private colleges in the US and Japan, with the purpose of offeringsome experience and references for the study of the management in privatecolleges.Finally, from the perspective of the working people at private colleges, thispaper proposes some ideas and suggestions on how to solve the common problems inthe construction of teaching staff in private colleges.On the one hand, improve theexternal environment and teachers’ social status. Through the relevant policies, try toestablish a variety of forms such as the allocation of resources, to strengthen thesupport of private colleges, create good environment for the healthy development ofprivate colleges.On the other hand, improve internal management, form a goodworking environment and cultural atmosphere. Through post appointment system, theteacher with "double capabilities", teachers training and internationalization, improvethe level of teacher’s teaching and scientific research ability, and promote thedevelopment of both teachers and students.
