Teachers Professional Satisfaction Research Of Yunnan Grassroots

Demand for teachers in rural areas is not met basic level, that resulting in further increase of the gap between urban and rural education. The outstanding issues of educational equity are common in rural areas. To address the shortage of teachers in grassrootsregion, our country launched the "special post plan" in2006to expected this policy to solve the contradiction between supply and demand of teachers in rural and remote areas. Special post of teachers, as a special group of teachers, take up the mission of backward rural areas’teaching. At the same time, the professional satisfaction of special post teachers becomes even more important.In this paper, I investigated teacher’s occupation degree of satisfaction from the11dimensions. As the210teachers’research object in Luquan County and Fumin County, Yunnan Province, this paper is based on "special post teachers occupation satisfaction questionnaire", and it carried out detailed investigation from the aspects of teacher’s gender, age, education and marriage etc. The study found that the overall satisfaction of teachers is very low. It is mainly manifested in the leadership, special post identity, overall satisfaction, training and promotion, labor remuneration, work intensity, work environment, students and parents. But these teachers are satisfied in the work itself, colleagues relationship, and self learning. Low satisfaction must be accompanied by a low work efficiency. So, the society should support and respect the teachers; it should continue to support the special post teachers in policy, improve the teacher’s welfare and increase training of these teachers. Leaders should provide convenience to special post teachers, and they should care and pay attention to teachers. At the same time, leaders should strengthen teachers training. As teachers themselves, they must change the individual concept, pay more attention to students, communicate with parents and communication, and adjust the life in the countryside to rooted in rural areas and lay a solid foundation.
