| Along with the new curriculum reform, high school ideological and political teaching material also with the development of The Times, more and more cartoons appeared in the political teaching material, those cartoons become a new and popular teaching method with its unique style, which help students better learning and using political theory knowledge, then lay a solid foundation for the students to set up the correct view of world, life and values. It is also conducive to efficiently complete the teaching goal, improving the quality of teaching, improve students’ comprehensive quality and creative ability. However, there are very few related research to the cartoon teaching of high school ideological and political lesson in domestic and foreign, so this topic has quite big space and value of research.In this paper we use the method of reference and comparison to study and discuss about the cartoon teaching of high school ideological and political.first we discussion from the origin of problems, present situation of research and the methods to lay the foundation for expansion of the paper, by analyzing the definition of comic and its difference with animation, anime to evolve to the meaning of cartoon teaching, and related t the basis of practical and theoretical to illustrate the feasibility of using the cartoon teaching, then explain the necessary of teaching high school thought political lesson comics. Also illustrates the teachers need to be aware of when applying cartoon teaching in some cases and should follow some principles. But in the actual operation process will inevitably appear some problems, so at the end of the article we analyze some problems in the high school thought political lesson cartoon teaching and how to solve the problem such as stimulating students’ potential, encourage students to co-opted or modification methods such as cartoon.Study the combination of comics and teaching, the application of cartoons as a teaching tool to the high school thought political lesson is the demand of The Times, teachers need to improve their teaching ability, the high school students also need to explore new knowledge.
