As a gem of Chinese literature in our history, Classical literature accounted a large proportion in senior school language teaching material compilation. Due to its context form of the literary--historical and literary, history essays has a special place in the senior school Chinese textbook, historical biography literature has also become the often test type in university entrance exam classical Chinese language reading.This article tries from the current version of senior school Chinese textbook and the teaching material, first for analysis of senior school required and elective courses in the Chinese history prose, combing with analysis for nearly a decade of the historical prose in volume(a) Chinese college entrance examination paper, then analyzing senior school Chinese history prose teaching requirements, and take it as a basis theory of historical prose teaching, at last find out the problems and insufficiency which existing in the historical prose teaching. This paper focus on the teaching of historical prose, and starting from the four aspects which include the prose reading teaching from history, historical prose narrative art and the typical character image evaluation, as well as the historical prose teaching extra-curricular activities. At the same time focuses on students’ mastering of basic knowledge, as well as the cultivation of reading ability and the edification of the humanistic spirit. I hope that my study on high school Chinese history prose teaching exploration would used for reference to the current high school Chinese teaching practice.
