The vocational personality of university teachers is the stable personality trait which forms by university teachers in concrete practice of the education and teaching. To investigate its construction and analyze the current situation, this study develops the questionnaire of vocational personality of university teachers, obtains the following research results through a series of studies:1) The vocational personality of university teachers is consisted of 3 dimensions: Easygoing and rigorous, affinity between teacher and student, smart and initiative.2) The questionnaire has good reliability and validity. The internal consistency coefficient of every dimension is up to 0.621. On the construct validity, three factors which are extracted from exploratory factor analysis can explain 56.583% of variance, the correlation coefficient between factors range from 0.335 to 0.593. In the report of confirmatory factor analysis, the comparative fit indexes are: ?2 /DF=1.397, less than 2. CFI = 0.972, IFI = 0.973, TLI = 0.961, are greater than 0.9, RMSEA 0.042, less than 0.1. The model is fit, so this questionnaire can be used as university teachers’ professional personality assessment tools.3) The vocational personality development level of university teachers is high. Comparing with female university teachers, male teachers have a significant higher level in smart and initiative dimension. Teachers with PHD education degree have a significant higher level in affinity than those with bachelor degree or associate degree.4) Affinity, smart and initiative can positively predict affection commitment. Easygoing and rigorous take positive predict about retention commitment while smart and initiative take negative predict. Easygoing and rigorous, affinity make positive predict about normative commitment.
