The research also provides the theoretical basis for promoting the development of personality traits purposefully and improving high school students’ life satisfaction degree effectively. Then helping the math teachers to guide students in mathematical learning and improving their academic record can be achieved. Empirical research are carried out with NEO-FFI and CASLSS, and using SPSS 19.0 for statistical analysis of the test data. The principal conclusions of this analysis are as follows.1. The significant difference in the demographic statistics variablesPersonality traits: In terms of gender, conscientiousness between boys and girls is significantly different, and the boys’ is significantly higher than the girls’. In terms of gender or age, the other four dimensions of personality traits have no significant difference. It shows that personality traits of senior high school students have been stable basically at this stage.Satisfaction: In terms of gender, freedom and environment satisfaction between boys and girls have significant difference, and the boys’ are significantly higher than the girls’. Academic satisfaction is significantly different in age. And the higher the students’ age, the lower satisfaction they have. In terms of gender or age, the other four dimensions of life satisfaction have no significant difference.Mathematical achievement: It has no significant difference in age, but has significant difference in gender. This conclusion proves that academic satisfaction is significantly different in age.2. Correlation: Mathematical achievement has a significant negative correlation with neuroticism, and has a significant positive correlation with academic satisfaction. Neuroticism and mathematical achievement have indirect correlation. In terms of gender, there is no change in the degree of correlation between neuroticism and mathematical achievement, but the degree of correlation between academic satisfaction and mathematical achievement is weakened. In terms of age, the degree of correlation between neuroticism and mathematical achievement is also weakened. And academic satisfaction and mathematical achievement have no significant correlation.3. Regression relation: Neuroticism has a negative significant predictability on mathematics achievement. Academic satisfaction has a positive significant predictability on mathematics achievement. Friend satisfaction, family satisfaction, freedom satisfaction, conscientiousness and agreeableness have negative significant predictability on neuroticism. Friend satisfaction, family satisfaction, freedom satisfaction and conscientiousness have positive significant predictability on academic satisfaction. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Senior high school students, Personality traits, Life satisfaction, Mathematical achievement, Relationship | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
