This paper, taking the students with difficulties in learning Physics in JiaxianKengzhen Middle School in Shannxi province as examples, based on the analysis ofthe present situations and difficulties in Physics teaching and the investigation of thecanses of the underachievers, classifies the causes and puts forward thecountermeasuers of the “slow students” transformation. Guided by the theories ofMultiple Intelligence, Constructivism and so on,the paper analyses the characteristicsand origin of the rural Physics underachievers and the situation of rural junior middleschool Physics teaching. The research aimed at the students with difficulties in Physics learning analyse thecauses including society, schools, families, individual students and other aspects, which are very complex. Therefore, the transformation stratigies of the “poorstudents” are as followings:1Arousingthe stuents’ interest by inproving the teaching methods in Lab;2Teachingby multi-media;3Stiring the students’ desire for Physics learning by appreciative education;4Teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, lowing the teachingrequirements and taking advantage of students’ non-intelligent factors;5Teaching Physics with integration of other subjects;6Encouraging the students’initiatives by giving more guidings in students’cooperative learning; The “poor student”transformation is a big teaching problem faced by the teachers, which needs successive and long-term work. The teachers should teach students according to their abilities. It is firmly believed that the underachievers will finallybecome good students through the teachers’ instruction and guiding as well as theirown efforts in spite of the complex and different causes.
