A Study Of The Problems And Solutions Of Junior High School Teachers’ Continuing Education In X City

Junior high school teachers’ continuing education is an effective way toimprove the overall quality of teachers in junior high school.The effectiveimplementation of the continuing education plays an important role in promoting thedevelopment of teachers and the whole education.But in practice,not all continuingeducation of junior high school teachers are satisfactory.This study is based on thequestionnaire and interview about the implementation of continuing education forjunior high school teachers in X City.The purpose is to explore the problems in theimplementation process of junior high school teachers’ continuing education in XCity,to find out the reasons for the problems and put forward some correspondingstrategies to solve the problems.The study shows that the junior high school teachers’continuing education in X City has some problems to be solved.The junior highschool teachers keep lower satisfaction to continuing education.For continuingeducation,junior high school teachers lack of initiative.There is an evidentcontradiction between work and study in continuing education activities.The ways ofcontinuing education can’t adapt to the teachers’ development;The continuingeducation courses and teaching methods can’t meet teachers’ needs.The reasons forthe problems can be summed up from two ways: continuing education institutionsand the junior high school teachers themselves.Through study,this paper gives somecorresponding solutions according to the problems and reasons:The leaders andparticipants of continuing education should update ideas and follow the developmentof the times;Chang the ways of continuing education and make the waysdiversification;Arrange the continuing education courses in reasonable ways to meetthe teachers’ different needs;Create more new and effective teaching methods tomake the teaching methods diverse.
