Over the past decade, the teaching scale of Chinese universities expanding unceasingly, young teachers play an important role in teaching. Statistics data from People’s Republic of China Ministry of Education in 2012 show that: the number of young teachers in universities accounted for the number of full-time teachers ratio was 44.05%. Young teachers has its superiority in university teaching, but the "youth" of objectivity also determines its shortcomings. This article mainly through a combination of empirical research and theoretical research, young teachers of the local undergraduate universities(In this paper, A University) as the research object statistical analysis of the data collected through questionnaires.This article is school-based research, based on microscopic local universities young teachers teaching ability development status. In discussing the effective way of the development of young teachers’ teaching ability in the surveyed universities, and also provide a reference for the young teachers upgrading their teaching ability, who in other types of domestic universities.The main results of the study include the following items. First, based on the A University young teachers cognitive orientation of their own teaching ability, learned the overall level of teaching ability of young teachers in A University is strong, and in the actual teaching, it can be better reflected; A University has a system related to the development of young teachers’ teaching ability system, and provides guarantee for the development of young teachers; In the course of developing the teaching ability, the young teachers will encounter problems such as limited teaching experience, lack of teaching ability and differences in teaching ability among young teachers and so on. Second, based on the data collected, from the three aspects of individuals, universities and society concrete analyze the factors that influence the teaching ability of young teachers. Third,analysis of the typical patterns of young teachers’ teaching ability development in foreign universities and what will provide reference for domestic universities. Fourth, based on status and influencing factors of young teachers teaching ability of A University, and integrated into the foreign implications, analyzing effective ways to enhance the teaching ability of young teachers in universities, from the angle of individuals, universities and government.
