Investigation On STS Education Of Physics Teaching In Junior Middle School

STS is a three English words abbreviations of science and Technology and Society. STS education is a kind of new thought of science education reform at the end of the twentieth Century in the world, emphasizes to make students correctly understand the relationship between science, technology and society, to enable students to have a scientific world outlook and values.This study to investigate the actual situation to carry out STS education in junior middle school physics teaching as the core goal, according to the requirements of "physical education curriculum standards(2011 Edition)" hackled STS educational resources of the currently used in junior middle school physics teaching material,based on the constructivism theory, humanism learning theory and learning the theory of transfer.Reference Canadian scientists, educators Aiken- head and Ryan compiled the famous STS idea evaluation scale VOSTS design questionnaire, survey was carried out in the middle school of junior middle school physics teachers and WuShan County ninth grade students at WuShan County.The statistics of the questionnaire by using SPSS19.0 data processing software, the statistical data was analyzed by using the theory of this research, concluded that: to carry out STS education in the junior middle school physics teaching for students in physics learning interest, learning ability, innovative thinking, social practice, social responsibility has the significant influence;very little teacher is very understanding of the STS education or don’t know,Most teachers be able to be reflected STS education concept in the specific teaching goal, and to actively carry out STS education in junior middle school physics teaching, for different teaching subjects, most of the teachers can choose a more appropriate way to carry out teaching activities; the role is sure; in the junior middle school physics teaching activities, teachers often cyber source from life resources, social resources, network resources is about 1/4;Teachers generally thought to carry out STS education in junior middle school physics teaching is necessary, but there are many difficulties, mainly for the school lack of resources, lack of corresponding examination system and evaluation methods.According to the above conclusions, this paper puts forward some advice on STS teaching in junior middle school physics teaching: first of all, we must strengthen to strengthen teachers’ understanding of STS education; Secondly to clear to carry out the STS education content; Again to carefully choose the right way; Finally to broaden access to the STS education resources.
