Mathematics study interest is the inner motive power of students to learn mathematics and plays a very important role to study mathematics. Due to the different features between mathematics and other subjects, and particularity of the social environment in remote rural areas. That makes students not active, enthusiastic and lack of interest in learning mathematics. That also makes the learning efficiency and mathematics results are not good. This thesis will focus on these phenomenas,discuss the current situation of mathematics learning interest in rural junior high school and analyze the factors that affect the students’ interest. Finally, put forward the corresponding countermeasures and make beneficial discussions for students’ interest of junior middle school students in the countryside.Refer to a large number of literature analysis, combing the concept, making questionnaire. Implementation of questionnaire survey and interviews to get first-hand datas. Two junior middle school students and teachers to kang county as the research object. Through the questionnaire survey of 563 junior middle school students and teachers face to face interview and the author’s own observation and practice, using spss13.0 to analyze data from discussion, get the following conclusions:(1) The countryside junior middle school students, more than half of the students interested in mathematics study to compare, but nearly 36% of the students interest in learning mathematics, the remaining 12% of the students are not interested in mathematics learning directly.(2) The countryside junior middle school students’ interest in mathematics learning increased with grade.(3) The countryside junior middle school students’ interest in mathematics learning by their own psychological factors and teacher factors, family factors, the biggest influence is teacher.The research results show that many junior middle school students in the countryside are losing interest in mathematics learning. Factors that affect the students’ interest in mathematics learning from students themselves, teachers, school,family, etc. For the cultivation of the students’ interest in mathematics learning is to let students realize the important value of mathematics. First, let the students knowthat math is not difficult for them in mind. Second, teachers should cultivate the harmonious relationship between teachers and students by the rich class activities, a variety of teaching methods and complete evaluation system that can stimulate the student to study mathematics’ s of curiosity and thirst for knowledge. Third, parents should care and encourage students to study mathematics, and relate other school teachers to make the students great progress at the same time.
