Speaking lesson, as a method of teaching and teaching research activity, is firstly put forward by the teaching and research office of Hongqi community in Xinxiang city, Henan Province in June 1987. Within the next few years, it spreads rapidly throughout the country because of its practicality, convenience, and flexibility. It is proved in practice that the speaking lesson activities have effectively mobilized the teachers’ enthusiasm to be engaged in teaching reforming, learning theory and the study of classroom teaching, which is one of the best ways to improve the professional quality of teachers and cultivate scholary and research young teachers. However, with the passage of time and the development of the society, in face of the new curriculum reform and new curriculum concept, the activities of speaking lesson have gradually revealed some problems, which is badly in need of solution. For example, how to apply the new teaching form to the new curriculum reform? How should the teachers practice speaking lesson under the new concept of teaching? How to construct the teaching strategies under the new curriculum reform? How to combine the ideological and political education closer to the ideological and political teaching in high school? How to promote teachers’ professional development through the platform of speaking lesson? Therefore, it is necessary to do further study in the current situation of the ideological and political course teaching, and to establish the inherent combination between speaking lesson and the new curriculum reform, and to deepen the speaking lesson activities with Chinese characteristics, which makes the class really become the effective way to promote the professional growth of teachers in the background of the new curriculum reform.This article which is written from the current situation of the ideological and political speaking lesson in senior high school, analyzes the problems that lie in the process of the ideological and political education in senior high school, and puts forward some comments and suggestions that is to find the feasible strategy to improve the quality and level of the ideological and political in senior high school. The first part of this paper introduces the meaning, the type, the characteristics, the Significance and the content of speaking lesson. The second part recounts the main problems that exists in the current ideological and political education of the senior high school. The third part puts forward the solution of these problems: to optimize and temper teaching languages; teachers strengthen the study of educational theory; the analysis of the study should to be objective and specific; the evaluation of speaking lesson to be accuracy and scientific; to carry out speaking lesson activities, so as to promote teachers’ teaching level; the speaking lesson should be bold and innovate, highlighting the personality of speakers; construction the community of professionally developed teachers.I hope that this article will provide reference to increase the teaching level and research level of the ideological and political education in high school, and offer some new ideas for the teachers to turn from "teacher man " into "science-and-research teacher", and provide certain guidance to the practice of speaking lesson during the ideological and political education in high schools.
