With the development of market economy and the upgrading of economic industry of our country, our higher school education, which faces the market and society, constantly reforms to adjust the economy, besides the popularization of higher education. Because the society needs more and more applied talents, so as one most important part of our higher education, the private higher education aims to train the advanced applied talents and serve area economic development. It appears in such societal demands and educational reform. For higher education, the best teacher can lead to the best teaching level. Compared to public college, the private college sucks in the level and quality of teachers. As for the new private undergraduate college, due to the new one, we can’t ignore the problems in the teacher team, even though it has got some achievements.Based on the teacher team construction and compared to the common problems of other private college in teacher team, this paper uses literature research method, survey method and comparative method to survey the construction of teacher team of C College in Henan province, which is a new private undergraduate college in 2014. This paper analyses the age structure, title structure, teaching age, course structure, teaching management, teacher psychology and finds out the problems, such as the relative shortage of qualified teachers, unreasonable title structure, imperfect in teaching management, great mobility of teachers, and instability of teacher psychology. What’s more, it analyses the reasons behind the problems: the societal reason, oneself of private college reason and the teacher oneself reason. Finally, combined with the good experiences in teacher contracture of foreign private college and the developed position, target and teacher special rules of our private undergraduate college, as for how to increase the quality of teacher team, this paper puts forward the suggestions. For example, the government gradually establishes the social security system of private college teacher; private college should strength scientific management of the teacher team, should improve the teacher structure, and should pay attention to cultivation of applied teacher talents, and should implement the teachers’ double abilities; the teacher should change his education ideas, improve the level of teacher’s ethics and set up the concept of competition.This paper includes four parts. The first part is introduction, which introduces the reason of selected topic, theoretical significance and practical significance of research, the related concept definitions, research status at home and abroad, research method and ideas, research emphases and difficulties. The second part mainly discuses the situation of the teacher team of the new private undergraduate college and investigates the teacher team of C College in Henan province. The third part focuses on analyzing the problems existing in teacher team and the causes. The fourth part mainly puts forward the suggestions to increase the quality of teacher team of the new private undergraduate college.
