With the development of Internet and information technology, e- learning has become an important way of learning. The networked learning environment, as a new learning resources, has greatly changed learning activities, in which the internal factors of the individual learner play an important role in his performance and learning has become more learner-centered. At the same time, the shorter update cycle and the more rapid growth of the knowledge in the networked learning environment make the learning performance to be the focus of learning outcomes. Therefore, how to improve learners’ performance by changing the internal factors of the individual learner is an issue educators pay great attention to.Through the literature analysis, this thesis presents the concepts and present research situation of the networked learning environment, self-efficacy and learning performance. A survey is made in order to explore the relationship between college students’ self-efficacy and their learning performance in the networked learning environment, in which 353 male and female undergraduates from freshmen to senior in Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications have been invited by stratified random sampling to fill up the questionnaires. Some of the undergraduates being invited major in science and the others major liberal arts.According to the survey, major conclusions are as follows:I. College students’ self-efficacy vary because of gender, grade, computer skills in the networked learning environment by T-test and analysis of variance, but no difference in majors. II. Relevance analysis proves that high self-efficacy helps college students to have better learning performance in the networked learning environment.Based on the conclusions above, several suggestions and strategies to improve students’ learning performance are proposed in this thesis: I. Improve the students’ computer skills for e-learning; II. Teach students how to choose and organize network resources; III. Promote the interaction between teachers and students and provide the students timely and positive feedback; IV. Design proper tasks and learning content; V. Select an appropriate evaluation met hods for particular student.
