| Study on correlation between engagement and job performance is a hot issue in human resource management. The teacher engagement is closely related to the performance of teachers and teaching quality in colleges and universities. It is an effective way to improve the teaching quality by doing a good job on engagement. Local national university located in the national regions, partial in the provincial capital cities, economic and social development level is relatively backward, so that managerial condition is very limited, college teachers have less talent exchange opportunities. Self promotion platform is also very lack. So that a lot of teachers in colleges and universities, especially the young teachers’ teaching motivation, teaching enthusiasm is not enough, the performance was not significant. Therefore, study on the correlation between local national university teacher engagement and the working performance of the teachers is conducive to further recognize the importance of teacher engagement management and clarify the path to improve the local national university teacher engagement, to enhance teachers’ job performance, to make some exploration for the local ethnic theory and practice of human resource management, and provide policy recommendations.In this paper, uses structural equation model with 234 teachers in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou and Sichuan Local University as a sample. It from the two dimensions of organizational identification and concentration on work, and five factors of job characteristics, the compensation fairness, the local sense of belonging, environment and development opportunity of engagement to make impact analysis, and the research results: the work of the local development, the local sense of belonging and develop opportunities positively impact dimension of teacher work engagement’s path coefficient were 0.695, 0.227 and 0.161; job characteristics, compensation fairness and environment positively impact dimension of teacher organizational identification’s path coefficient were 0.650.451 and 0.24. In the two dimensions of engagement, job characteristics are the most important factors of influencing factors of engagement, the compensation fair is the second important factor influence, and the work environment and the local sense of belonging are the important influence factors.This paper also makes local ethnic university teachers’ job performance evaluation with fuzzy mathematics method. Found that local national university teachers’ performance evaluation score is 3.7568, the overall level is good. But when doing population characteristic difference analysis found that female teachers in the aspect of the comprehensive quality and scientific research level is higher, the male teachers is slightly higher than that of female teachers in the teaching. Working performance of the teachers is relatively low above 50 years old, the overall work performance at 41-50 years old in this stage are better. The job of undergraduate course teacher performance is slightly lower. Finally, this paper respectively made a correlation analysis of the two dimensions of engagement with the three dimensions of job performance the conclusion conforms to the original assumption one, two or three.Finally,from the country, the colleges and universities and teacher three aspects, it puts forward the countermeasures and Suggestions, namely continues to increase the financial support for the local colleges in national regions; the counterpart to assist and support the policies and measures to further implement; Colleges and universities are to establish a fair and reasonable salary system, perfect the incentive system; Create a good working environment atmosphere; strengthen the management of teachers’ career planning; Ensure the quality of building teaching evaluation standard, to improve teachers’ job performance; Evaluate the scientific research reasonably fully arouse the enthusiasm of teachers’ scientific research.
