Today’s society has entered a rapid high-tech industries and knowledge innovation as the main characteristics of the era of the rapid development of information. Higher education as the base of the knowledge innovation, the quality of education determines the quality of personnel training, has a certain practical significance so as to improve college teachers scientific and reasonable evaluation system. The performance appraisal is the means of modern social organization to measure employee performance, application of performance appraisal results can promote employee self promotion and self management.In order to promote the human resource management in Colleges and universities, to improve the level of school running, based on the investigation and analysis, this paper put the KPI performance appraisal practice in the university teacher performance assessment. The Key Performance Indication by empirical research, questionnaire survey and interviews for the university teacher, scientific performance appraisal system. In this paper, first introduced the KPI appraisal method and theory, and then analyzes the status quo and analysis of performance evaluation of local undergraduate college teachers to solve existing problems, finally taking Huzhou Teachers College as an example, based on the local characteristics of Huzhou Teachers College, based on the performance appraisal system of teachers in local universities.According to the discussion of teachers’ core competency, this thesis based on human resources management theory put forward viewpoints as follows:teachers’ performance indicator should according to the actual situation;teachers’development goals should the same with the school’s;the performance evaluation team is mainly founded by the teaching academic committee, supplemented by frontline teachers;strengthen the participation in the construction mechanism of the teachers,and absorb the views of frontline teachers.This thesis avoids the limitation which high education instistutes appraise teachers only by teaching and research.Through analyzing the data about the quality of university teachers should have,the thesis found the core qualities.Thus, I explore how to build a university teacher performance appraisal system.In attempt to provide a new way for teachers’ performance appraisal,this paper is of great significance.
