In Senior High School, a head teacher carries a student’s or even a family’s dream, whose overall quality and working method will have a direct influence on a students’ three years of high school life or even his whole life. Therefore, how to construct a "high-quality" head teacher team will be of great importance theoretically and practically.By means of documentation,questionnaire and case interview, this thesis, chose 125 head teachers in five ordinary high schools in Quangang District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province to do a questionnaire.Meanwhile, the author interviewed leaders of these five high schools who are in charge of school moral education and some head teachers face to face, aiming to learn about the working situation and the overall quality of head teachers as well as the managing and constructing currency of head teachers in high schools. The research shows four problems existing in the construction of head teachers in High Schools:a structural imbalance among the head teacher team;a lack of job preference as to most head teachers; an overburden of career pressure; a deficiency of professional ability. Lastly, the author further analyzed the attributions of the four problems along with putting forward the countermeasures to improve the problems:to build the inspiring mechanism for head teachers; to perfect the evaluation system of head teachers; to implement the head teachers’ school-based training; last but not the least, to strengthen the head teachers’ self-education.
